Solatube® roof domes
Solatube® roof domes are injection moulded from impact-resistant polycarbonate, TP(a)-rated, and incorporate UV screening up to 380 nanometers to prevent discolouration from solar radiation. The BBA confirms that the roof dome may be classified as Tp(a) rigid in accordance with the national Building Regulations.
The patented LightTracker™ Reflector in the roof dome is supplied with every Solatube system and is particularly effective during winter months, early morning and evening when the sun is low in the sky, as it reflects and redirects the low angled light into the tube – light that would otherwise have passed straight through the dome and been lost.
The patented Raybender® 3000 Technology Fresnel lenses moulded into the smaller diameter Brighten Up® Series domes are located at critical locations inside the dome to ensure daylight is redirected instead into the tube at a steeper angle to maintain a low angle of incidence.
Optional roof dome accessories
Security bars
Stainless steel security bars are available for the SolaMaster® Series. They insert into the flashing turret across the diameter of the opening. The bar is fastened using tamper-proof rivets and prohibits 
entry through the dome.
Dome security kit
This kit consists of six rivets with protective nylon spacers which replace dome screws. The dome security kit reduces the possibility of the dome being removed. The kit may be used on all Solatube® Daylighting Systems.
