Solatube® condensation control

The potential for condensation in tubular daylighting systems is a possibility owing to the temperature differential inside and outside the building. But that’s not to say there isn’t a solution. In addition to the double-glazed diffuser that reduces the U values, every Solatube® Daylighting System is constructed with factory installed seals for minimum air infltration and a proprietary moisture control system that draws any condensation into a special channel below the dome and out through specially-designed exit holes. A breathable brush seal allows internal condensation to be filtered from the underside of the dome out to the roof through specially-designed exit points.
