The British Board of Agrément's mission is to provide reassurance to manufacturers, users, specifiers, insurers and regulators of construction products and systems and to encourage the safe development and adoption of innovative construction solutions via the assessment, testing, approval and certification of products and systems for the construction industry against national requirements, internationally recognised standards or other relevant technical specifications. All Solatube® Daylighting Systems carry BBA Certification.

Energy Star is a United States government program created in 1992 by the US Environmental Protection Agency in an attempt to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission by power plants. What began originally as a voluntary labelling program has grown in to one of the largest efforts worldwide to promote energy efficient consumer products. Now Energy Star qualified products and practices help you cut costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US EPA and US DOE. The Energy Star label also designates superior energy performance in homes and buildings. The Solatube® Brighten Up® Series is Energy Star rated.

The Centre Scientifique et Technique du Batiment is a state-owned industrial and commercial cooperative, placed under the administrative supervision of the French Ministry of Housing. It is one of Europe's leading research and evaluation centres. Every year, it issues nearly 600 Technical Assessments (Avis Techniques) and monitors some 1,500 holders of certifications (40% of them in other countries). Involved in the development of the European Union for many years, it is authorized to issue European Technical Approvals and CE labelling. All Solatube® Daylighting Systems have CSTB Technical Assessment Certificates.

Recently, two sets of comparative testing have been carried out by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) on behalf of Solatube® Daylighting Systems. One set of tests, BRE Report 248038a, compared the performance of the 350mm diameter Solatube® 290 DS with two widely available flexible tube systems of similar diameter. The other set of tests, BRE Report 248038b, compared the rigid tube 530mm diameter Solatube® 330 DS and the 530mm diameter system of another widely available, rigid tube UK supplier.
