The British Board of Agrément (BBA) is the UK’s major authority offering approval of construction products, systems and installers. Solatube® Daylighting Systems gained BBA certification in November 2008. Solatube® is the only tubular daylighting system in the UK to achieve this prestigious recognition. During the rigorous 2-year testing programme, the BBA confirmed the performance levels of Solatube® patented dome technologies. They also verified the 99.7% reflective value of Spectralight® Infinity, the tube material used in all Solatube® Daylighting Systems. Since 1966 Agrément Certificates have been providing invaluable information on the performance of new construction products and materials, ensuring that the product is fit for purpose. The BBA’s Agrément Certificates are awarded only to a construction product or system after it has successfully passed a comprehensive assessment involving laboratory testing, on-site evaluations and inspections of production. The manufacturer will also be audited, ensuring that a suitable quality management system is in place. Regular monitoring of the product manufacture by the BBA takes place twice a year with a full and comprehensive reassessment every three years. Agrément Certificates are recognised by building control, government departments, architects, local authorities, specifiers and industry insurers like the NHBC. In addition to our Highest Performance Guarantee, all Solatube® Daylighting Systems are backed with a manufacturer's product guarantee.
Solatube® warrants systems to be free from defects of workmanship and/or material for a period of time from the date of purchase: 10 years for daylighting system components and 5 years for electrical accessories unless otherwise noted. Daylighting system components consist of roof domes, roof flashing, diffusers and diffuser mountings, reflective tubing, seals, gaskets, tapes and fasteners. Should any products be determined by Solatube® to be defective, at the option of Solatube®, such products shall be replaced or repaired and returned to the buyer free from defect. Buyers should report to SolaLighting Limited within 30 days of discovering fault.
