Solatube® adjustable angles and extension tubes
Solatube® extension tubes are available in straight or angled 610mm lengths. If your install distance is greater than 400mm you will need to purchase additional extension tubes to meet the distance required. See our specification page to calculate the number of tubes you will require over a given install distance. Installations that require longer tube lengths may also require more turns to avoid obstructions or to bend around corners and you can use 0-90 degree adjustable extension tubes to do this.
Extension tubes
Extension tubes are available in straight 610mm sections. They telescope together to give you the required tube length to meet your specific install distance requirement – the distance between your roof and ceiling.
The 99.7% reflective Spectralight® Infinity material used in Solatube® extension tubes means that very effective light delivery is possible with tube lengths of up to 6 metres for the Solatub®e 160 DS and 9 metres for the Solatube® 290 DS.
Adjustable angles
In more complex installations with unusual corners and obstructions, it may be necessary to make further turns in the tube. The 0-90 degree angle adjuster simply twists from 0 up to 90 degrees to make a turn in the tube.
It is made with 99.7% reflective Spectralight® Infinity to ensure maximum light transmission, and is available for both the Solatube® 160 DS and Solatube® 290 DS.

- Every Solatube® Daylighting System in the Brighten Up® Series comes with a top tube assembly and a ceiling tube assembly that are adjustable from 0-30 degrees; together they give an install distanceof up to 400mm (generally sufficient for flat roofs, vaulted ceilings, or very shallow pitch roofs) – for distances greater than this you will require additional extension tubes and/or adjustable angles
